Areas of Practice

Real Estate

RRPEV handles a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale of commercial, condominium, industrial, and residential properties with an emphasis placed on real estate development projects, commercial leasing transactions, land use and zoning, environmental matters, and historic preservation matters. RRPEV has represented a large number of South Florida real estate developers, and understands the challenges experienced with developers in land development and permitting, as well as the tax and finance aspects of the development business. RRPEV assists developers in working with financing institutions, preparing homeowner's associations, dealing with the problems associated with project turn-over, and in handling the sales of residential or condominium units by a project developer.

Over the years RRPEV has put together a host of development joint ventures between operators and "money partners" through operating, limited partnership, joint venture or management agreements. Often, the "money partners" are foreigners which create a series of structural and tax related complications. RRPEV has also represented purchasers of income-producing real estate. The Firm handles commercial leasing transactions, preparing commercial leases for its landlord clients or representing tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases. The Firm's attorneys additionally work in the fields of environmental law and historic preservation law.

Our attorney's handle wetlands permitting, representing clients before federal, state, and environmental regulatory authorities for both permitting and violations, and represent non-profit organizations and individuals seeking designation of historic properties and enforcement of historic preservation and zoning ordinances before state and local governments.
