Jorge M. Vigil, Esq.

VigilJorge M. Vigil is a member and principal of the Firm. He practices in the areas of complex real estate transactions, partnerships and joint ventures, and domestic and international banking transactions.  As a real estate attorney, Mr. Vigil represents a number of real estate investors and developers in real estate acquisition and sale transactions, and the development of residential and commercial properties. He has represented South Florida’s largest developer of detached single family residential housing for several years and represents various foreign nationals buying and selling real estate in South Florida, including developers of “in-fill” mixed-use projects. 

Mr. Vigil has significant experience with the formation and ongoing representation of large real estate development partnerships, including handling all aspects of the partnership formation and structure and private placements of securities in real estate development projects.  He represents several of South Florida’s leading financial institutions in connection with domestic and international banking transactions, including real estate secured finance, working capital lines of credit, and international trade finance transactions.

Mr. Vigil is active in various professional and community organizations. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush to the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority in 2006, where he still serves. As a member of the Expressway Authority Board, Mr. Vigil Chairs the Property Acquisition Committee and acts as the Vice-Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee. He served on the Board of Directors of the Latin Builder’s Association and was named “Attorney of the Year” by the Latin Builder’s Association in 2001. Mr. Vigil is a member of the 2006 “Building our Community” committee of the March of Dimes and was named an award finalist by the organization for outstanding achievement in Real Estate Law in 2005. He also served on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Vigil received his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian.
